Carrot Fries
Ingredients
- 16 medium carrots peeled and cut into matchsticks about 4 inches long
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425F. Place the carrot sticks in a bowl and pour the olive oil over them. Using your hands, toss the carrots in the oil to thoroughly coat.
- Spread the carrot sticks in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with the salt, pepper, and cumin.
- Bake the carrots until they begin to crisp, about 45 minutes, checking every 15 minutes or so to toss or turn the pan to ensure even cooking.
